Ecosorb® works. The many industrial facility managers who trust its natural odor eliminating solutions would say so. We set out to establish measurable confirmation of the effectiveness Ecosorb natural odor eliminating technology and safety of its chemistry.
Odors removed
Expected standard for safe inhalation
Ingredients determined non-toxic
Background
Our engineers tasked independent odor specialists and safety experts to test Ecosorb at use in the field. In this case, a cannabis cultivation center in California relying on Ecosorb’s CNB formulations to control marijuana plant odors.
Their findings? Without question, Ecosorb formulations are independently, scientifically proven to eliminate the toughest odors, without health risk to facility staff and neighbors within range of its use.
Test 1: Efficacy
Odor emissions specialists, SCS Engineers, obtained air samples from an active cannabis facility in California. The location used Ecosorb’s CNB formulations — specifically designed to combat cannabis plant odors — to limit complaints from nearby residents.
Samples were sent to a third-party lab at Odor Science & Engineering facilities in Bloomfield, CT for analysis. A panel of odor testing experts evaluated the samples, made from both treated and untreated air from the facility.
Results Summary
of treated air samples showed minimal increase in odor intensity*
of treated air samples showed no increase in odor intensity*
Cannabis odors eliminated
Distance at which odors were eliminated
Than top-performing odor control technologies, including carbon filtration
Highest intensity odors from harvesting and processing
Test 2: Safety
CPF Associates in Bethesda, Maryland completed an assessment to measure the potential health impact of Ecosorb CNB Formulations relative to acute, short- term inhalation criteria derived to be protective of public health. The experts at CPF confirmed that both CNB 100 and the more concentrated CNB 107 formulations were both safe for use around people, both at limited and long-term exposure.
Results Summary
Emissions
100% of emissions from CNB 107 tested below the available health protective criteria.
Toxic Air Contaminants (TACs)
Zero of CNB 107’s ingredients or emissions are identified as Toxic Air Contaminants (TACs) by the State of California.
Chronic Inhalation Criteria
Emissions from CNB 107 determined to be lower than chronic inhalation criteria. The standard for this test is the assumption of long-term, direct inhalation over a period of 30 years. Even at this concentration and time length, Ecosorb was found to be completely safe for people.
Acute Inhalation Criteria
Emissions from CNB 107 determined to be lower than acute inhalation criteria.

How Ecosorb Works
While amazingly effective, the science behind Ecosorb odor neutralizers are simple. The chemical processes involved are adsorption, absorption, gas solubility and reaction.
Contact
Ecosorb is delivered into an area affected by odors and attracts to odor molecules.
Adsorption
Ecosorb attaches to odor molecules.
Absorption
Ecosorb surrounds odor molecules, neutralizing their smell
